Mission Statement
The ISC is a non-profit coalition of thought-leaders dedicated to advancing
understanding of the relationships among ecological, social and economic systems
for the mutual benefit of people and the environment.
Vision Statement
To serve as a clearing house of research and information connected to
sustainability, and to create partnerships between universities,
businesses, governmental agencies and not-for-profit organizations
that will serve as catalysts for moving toward a more sustainable
society.

Dry Climate Sustainability Center
The mission of our center is to gain a better
understanding of the ecological function and structure
of the Mojave Desert at all scales, and how the function
and structure might be impacted by global climate
change.

The center's overarching goals are to understand the
causes and consequences of climate change, improve
predictive models to project future climate conditions,
and inform on-going state, national and international
policy discussions on climate change, including
