Building a network unlike ever seen before, Audubon Lifestyles and the International Sustainability Council have partnered to create a unique membership opportunity. ISC/Audubon Lifestyles Membership was created to help foster sustainability by working with individuals, businesses, organizations, municipalities and others seeking to balance the triple bottom line of people, profit, and planet. Our ability to do this depends on your participation. Please join today and make a positive contribution toward being socially, environmentally and economically responsible where you live, work and recreate.

Incorporating sustainability into our day to day activities helps to guarantee a long life for businesses, communities, buildings, and society at large. It is hard to find consistency among definitions of sustainability, but it is common sense that sustainability should incorporate a relationship between the natural environment, social causes, and corporate governance. In a company boardroom, this translates to the “triple bottom line”. That means that companies must make investment decisions that will benefit the environment and society, and still guarantee the profitability of the project itself. Taking this approach we can truly hope to create products, services, and places that will change consumers’ behaviors and help us all to live more sustainably.

Become a Chartered Member

Chartered Members of the International Sustainability Council create a Sustainability Charter specific to their business or organization. A Sustainability Charter is a codification of the Principles of Sustainability the governs the organization’s actions and operations, and sets forth conditions for how business should be run.

By adopting a Sustainability Charter your business or organization publicly affirms the adoption of the International Sustainability Council’s Principles for Sustainability, and the belief that businesses and their leadership have a direct responsibility for the sustainability of the Earth. It is our belief that businesses must conduct their activities as responsible stewards of the environment and seek profits only in a manner that leaves the Earth healthy and safe. We believe that businesses must not compromise the ability of future generations to sustain their needs.

SustainAbility Newsletter

A joint publication from Audubon Lifestyles and The International Sustainability Council

SustainAbility is a free quarterly newsletter co-produced by the International Sustainability Council and Audubon Lifestyles. Living a sustainable lifestyle requires each one of us to conduct our lives in such a way to encompass an awareness of Earth and its processes. Each of our choices require a consideration of the consequences, and the way that each decision affects the environment, society, and the economy. By minimizing our "ecological footprints" and the extent to which we create an environmental impact by living sustainably our hope is that we will preserve the earth for future generations.
