of Alaska Fairbanks -Cold Climate Housing Research Center The Cold Climate Housing Research Center (CCHRC) is an industry based, non-profit corporation created to facilitate the development, use, and testing of energy efficient, durable, healthy, and cost effective building technologies for Alaska and the world's cold climate regions. Alaska offers an excellent testing ground for cold climate technologies and products. Alaska's geography provides the full range of climatic conditions a researcher would encounter across the northern U.S. - from the windy, cool, wet weather on the northeastern and northwestern states to the very cold, snowy conditions across the northern plains and Rocky Mountain regions. In addition, Alaska's cold season lasts for six months or longer in any given year, allowing ample time for researchers to conduct experiments and evaluations of housing performance. http://www.cchrc.org University
of Florida -Program for Resource Efficient Communities The Program for Resource Efficient Communities integrates and applies the University of Florida’s educational and analytical assets to promote the adoption of best design, construction, and management practices that measurably reduce energy and water consumption and environmental degradation in new residential community developments. Their focus extends from the individual home and lot level through site development to surrounding lands and ecological systems. The Program supports the implementation of resource efficient community development practices and operates on the fundamental premise that building and maintaining an inclusive, multi-disciplinary collaborative team is the key to the program’s success. http://www.energy.ufl.edu/default.htm The

The College’s reputation as a student-centered community of scholars is primarily due to its accomplished and attentive faculty, who balance the demands of academic leadership, publishing, and research with the responsibility of providing undergraduates with a challenging, engaging, and inspiring education of the highest quality. http://www.siena.edu Urbana University The 128 acre campus, located in Urbana, Ohio, offers the safety of a
small town with the convenience of being less than an hour from the
major metropolitan areas of Columbus and Dayton. This provides easy
access to two international airports, world-class cultural
attractions, professional sports, retail stores, restaurants and a
regional bike trail. With an enrollment of nearly 1,500 students,
Urbana is small enough to foster close connections between faculty
and students, but large enough to provide cutting edge programs that
help students build the skills necessary to succeed in the career
path of their choice. Urbana University’s student body is a diverse
mix of men and women from Ohio, 18 other states and 8 foreign
